CALL FOR PAPERS – VOLUME 6, ISSUE 1 (2027) Parewa Saraq: Journal of Islamic Law and Fatwa Review invites scholars, researchers, academics, and legal practitioners to submit original research articles for Volume 6, Issue 1 (2027), under the theme “Fatwas in Contemporary Dynamics: Islamic Legal Authority, Social Transformation, and Emerging Challenges.” This issue explores the evolving role of fatwas in responding to contemporary challenges through Islamic jurisprudence, uṣūl al-fiqh, and maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, with particular attention to digital fatwas and artificial intelligence, Islamic finance and fintech, family law and gender, bioethics and medical innovation, environmental protection, human rights and citizenship, state governance, fatwa institutions, comparative fatwa studies, and socio-legal transformation in Muslim societies. The journal welcomes theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and empirically informed contributions that advance international scholarship on Islamic law and fatwa studies. Manuscripts must be written in English, present original research, and not be under consideration by another journal. All submissions will undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and author guidelines.
